چکیده
Background: The mungbean/green gram is one of the major grain legume crops native to Indian subcontinent, which was found damaged extensively by pulse beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus during storage. Moreover, insect damage also causes chemical constituents seeds leading alteration in flavor, nutritive value, marketability and acceptability stored seeds. Therefore, present investigation focused on evaluating bioefficacy botanicals protection green grains from C. changes biochemical properties six months Methods: During experimentation, were treated with selected form oils, powders their aqueous extracts effects beetle terms adult emergence seed recorded up Changes . Result: study revealed significantly lesser number exit holes/100 (1.33 13.33), (4.33 15.00 no.), weight loss (0.92 3.10%) (1.40 5.40%) neem oil @ 3.0% after month interval. crude protein values did not vary among treatments, but alcoholic acidity varied between 0.30 - 0.94%. uric acid content increased population. Significantly lower free fatty acids standard check at par all concentrations oil, Karanj mustard oil.

Varietal Susceptibility Of Cowpea (Vigna Unguiculata L.) To The Storage Beetle, Callosobruchus Maculatus F. (Coleoptera: Bruchidae)
Twenty-two cowpea genotypes, comprising eighteen elite lines from the CSIR-Savanna Agricultural Research Institute, and three improved cultivars from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture were evaluated for their susceptibility to infestation and damage by the storage beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus F. The assessment of their relative susceptibilities was based on oviposition, me...
متن کاملInsecticidal and repellent activity of typical monoterpenes from plant essential oils against Callosobruchus maculatus (Fabr. 1775)
Synthetic insecticides and repellents have been broadly used worldwide for the control of crop pests and insects acting as vectors of human disease. Despite effectiveness, synthetic insecticides or repellents may cause serious damages to the environment and consequently to humans and animals. The growing biotechnological investigation for alternative insecticides and repellents, particularly of...
متن کاملChemical composition and biological activity of Allium sativum essential oils against Callosobruchus maculatus
In order to search for alternative control methods to synthetic pesticides, the potential of essential oils from Allium sativum (L.) (Alliaceae); was evaluated as fumigants against Callosobruchus maculatus (fab.) (Coleoptera: Bruchidae), a pest that attacks pulses during storage. Chickpea seeds were infested with 10 pairs of newly emerged weevils and, fumigated with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4μl of essent...

The effect of 2-tridecanone vapor on the cowpea weevil (Callosobruchus maculatus) development was determined. Seeds of cowpea were infested with adults and exposed to different doses of 2-tridecanone isolated from Pilocarpus microphyllus Stapf ex Holm, a plant species native from northeastern Brazil. The pure monoterpene was evaluated both undiluted as well as in the dilutions 1:10, 1:100 and 1...
متن کاملInsecticidal Activity and Chemical Composition of the Morinda lucida Essential Oil against Pulse Beetle Callosobruchus maculatus
Insecticidal activity of essential oil extracted from Morinda lucida was tested on pulse beetle Callosobruchus maculatus, which is a pest that causes serious damage to several pulses. The insecticidal activity was compared with two pesticides, Phostoxin and Primo-ban-20. 120 mixed sex adult C. maculatus were introduced, along with 30 g of cowpeas. Four concentrations (0.40, 0.20, 0.10, and 0.05...
